Biden: Prez no brainiac

After fielding right-wing attacks about his mental fitness for weeks, Joe Biden punched back at President Trump on Tuesday, questioning whether the commander-in-chief has the “cognitive capability” to grasp the scandal that has erupted over an alleged Russian plot to kill American soldiers.

Biden (inset), the presumptive Democratic nominee, delivered the brainy broadside during a press conference near his Delaware home — his first backand-forth with reporters in weeks — as outrage mounted over allegations that Trump looked the other way while Russia offered cash bounties to Taliban fighters willing to assassinate U.S. service members in Afghanistan.

“He talks about cognitive capability. He doesn’t seem to be cognitively aware of what’s going on,” Biden said after a reporter asked about U.S. intelligence assessments on the alleged Russian bounty operation.
