A speeding motorcyclist who ran a red light and crashed into an SUV in East Harlem in May died of his injuries a week later, police said Saturday.

Sturdia Francis, 30, was riding his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle west on E. 111th St. on May 24 when he T-boned a Chevy Tahoe at Second Ave. about 8:10 p.m., cops said.

Francis (inset), who police said was speeding and had a red light, was thrown from his motorcycle and onto the ground as the Tahoe slammed into an unoccupied parked car, police said.

Medics rushed Francis to Mount Sinai Morningside, where he died of his injuries on June 4, police said.

Cops said the SUV driver had the green light and was not injured. There have been no charges.

According to his online obituary, Francis was born in New York but raised in Jamaica. He was a father of two who loved driving and was once an MTA bus driver. He also had a popular career spinning music as DJ Guttah.

“His passion was music of all kinds,” his obituary read. “He loved entertaining people at concerts and clubs, but enjoyed having fun playing mostly for his family and friends at small affairs.”

He was about a mile away from the home he shared with his girlfriend when he crashed his motorcycle.

Neighbors said Francis went by the nickname “Prince,” and was a friendly fellow who would stop and play with neighborhood teens and loved riding his motorcycle.

“He was really nice,” said one neighbor, who only wanted to be identified as Alyssa. “He was always outside with his friends, he would play with the kids in the neighborhood … when you see him he’d always say ‘Hey.’ ”

When Francis died, “a lot of people actually came out to light candles. A lot of people really came out,” said Alyssa.
