Man held 2 girls as sex slaves: DA

- BY THOMAS TRACY

A Queens pimp turned a hotel near Kennedy Airport into a hostel from hell where he held two teenage girls against their will for a week and forced them to have sex with strangers, officials said Friday.

Tyrone Miles, 29, of Jamaica faces up to 50 years in prison after being arrested on rape, promotion of prostitution and sex trafficking charges, Queens DA Melinda Katz said.

He is accused of bringing two girls, ages 16 and 17, and a third woman into the JFK Inn-Hotel on South Conduit Ave. on June 5 and staying at the hotel for the next seven days.

During that time, Miles refused to let the two teens go, threatening to beat them if they left, and forced them to have sex with strangers for money, prosecutors said.

“The defendant is accused of having sex with one teenager and forcing both girls into having sex with strangers for cash – money that he pocketed for himself,” Katz said in a statement. “The youngsters are now safe and away from the clutches of this alleged sex trafficker, who is accused of using brute force and threats to control and exploit the teenagers. The defendant will be held accountable for his alleged actions.”

Prosecutors claim that once the four had settled into the hotel Miles had sex with the 16-year-old, then told her that she was going to have sex with men of his choosing for cash.

When she refused, he threatened to kill her, court papers state. He also told her that if any of her Johns asked her age, she should tell them she was born in 2000, making her legally old enough to consent to sex.

Over the next week, both girls were forced to have sex with a number of strangers, with Miles arranging the “dates.” The older woman, who remains at large, collected the cash and gave the money to Miles, officials said.

When the 16-year-old tried to leave the hotel, Miles struck her in the face, putting her in fear of her life, prosecutors said.

Miles was arrested Wednesday. A call to his attorney was not returned.
