Driver tested for DUI after B’klyn fatal hit: cops

A motorist was tested for DUI after he ran down a man on a Brooklyn street on Saturday night, police sources said.

A man was brutally beaten and required surgery after he refused to share his cell phone with several men outside a Bronx bodega, police said.

Cops on Saturday released surveillan­ce images (right) of the four suspects in the June 22 mugging.

The 28-year-old victim was leaving the Alex Grocery and Deli on Willis Ave. near E. 148th St. in Mott Haven about 11 a.m. when the four young men stopped him at the door and asked if they could use his Apple XS Max phone, cops said.

When the victim refused, the crew punched him several times, then ran off with his phone, police said.

Medics took the victim, who needed surgery for his facial injuries, to two-door sedan struck him, cops said.

The man was rushed to Maimonides Medical Center, where he died.

“I’m recovering fast,” the victim said when reached at home Saturday, declining to share his name.

One of the suspects in the robbery had facial sedan stayed on the scene, said police.

No arrests had been made and the investigat­ion was ongoing. tattoos and a brace on his left hand at the time of the attack, officials said.
