Man walking in Bx. shot dead after fight
A 36-year-old man was fatally shot while walking with his wife in the Bronx after he flicked a cigarette butt in the direction of three strangers who were hungry for a fight, cops said.
Curtis Holley got into an argument with the strangers after he carelessly flicked his cigarette in their direction while walking along 165th St. and Prospect Ave. near his home in Morrisania about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, officials said.
The argument escalated and one of the men pulled out a gun and blasted Holley in the torso, police said.
Medics rushed Holley to Lincoln Hospital, where he died at 11:55 p.m. There were no immediate arrests.

“You all know the vibes,” a happy Holley says. “You all see that beautiful woman there? That is my wife.”
At Holley’s previous home in Harlem, a building full of temporary housing units run by the city, residents said he was kicked out in July for breaking a window on the first floor.
Neighbor Philip Farrice, 67, said Holley assaulted and robbed him while staying at the shelter.
“I guess I don’t have to look over my shoulder,” Farrice said as he made the sign of the cross. “It is sad though.”
Other neighbors remembered Holley as kind.
“Every time I’d see him he was on the elevator with his wife and we would talk,” said Donna Prophete, 55. “He’s a nice guy though. He was very friendly.”
