A 24-year-old father was shot dead while sitting in a Mercedes-Benz during a raucous Brooklyn block party early Sunday, cops said.

Elijah Mims was inside a dark-colored Mercedes on Madison St. near Bushwick Ave. in Bushwick when shots rang out about 3:45 a.m., police said. There was a massive party happening on the block with about 200 attendees, police said.

Mims was struck multiple times in the face and body. Medics rushed him to Woodhull Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

Mims lived in Williamsburg, where neighbors were shocked to learn of his death.

“He’s a good kid,” said neighbor Robert DeJesus, 48. “I feel so bad for the family.”

“No kid deserves to die like that,” he added. “That’s why I tell these young kids, ’Watch what you do.’”

DeJesus said Mims was a father to a young child.

“It’s a heartbreaking thing,” he said.

Mims’ death was part of a spasm of gun violence across the city. Cops said between midnight and 3 p.m. Sunday, there were eight shootings with 13 victims.

About 1 a.m., a 25-year-old man was fatally shot in the head on E. 102nd St. near Glenwood Road in Canarsie.

A 20-year-old woman was shot in the left leg, a 17-yearold boy was shot twice in the leg and three times in the buttocks and a 16-year-old boy was struck in the right arm and right ankle on Myrtle Ave. near Washington Park. They were all hospitalized, but expected to survive, police said.

Three more people were shot after an argument broke out at a party on Gipson St. near Mott Ave. in Far Rockaway, Queens, around 2 a.m., police said.

A 28-year-old man was shot in both arms, a 26-yearold man was blasted in the right leg and a 33-year-old man was wounded in the right foot. They were all hospitalized and expected to recover.
