Trump, a godsend for the unborn

I would like to respond to the flurry of pro-abortion letters that have recently appeared on this page. First, to Voicer Joan Silaco: Preventing the genocide of unborn children has nothing to do with ending the coronavirus; they are two separate issues so you and others should stop using this lame excuse.

To Voicer Helen Kaplin: You believe every woman has the right to do with her body just as a man? So if a person wants to use his body to stab another person that is fine? A person should be free to do with their body as they want — to diet or exercise or whatever, but no one should ever be free to use their body to kill another human life (a baby has different DNA from the mother).

And finally, to Voicer Beth Friscino, who indignantly challenges to name just one thing President Trump has done to end abortion: Here’s a small sampling — he stopped funding the abortion industry when he reinstated the Mexico City policy in his first week in office, he’s appointed pro-life federal judges, he’s defunding Planned Parenthood of our tax dollars, he’s supported the pro-life Hyde Amendment, he fights abortion advocacy organizations, he’s implemented safety standards on chemical abortions to help women from becoming infertile or dying, and he’s pledged in his second term to end the dismemberment of living unborn babies.

New Hyde Park, L.I.: Democrats make me sick. They want Trump out and yet 70% will vote by mail. They wouldn’t mail a check for $100, but they will trust the Post Office that Trump is supposedly destroying with the most important piece of paper ever. These are the people who wouldn’t hesitate to go to the mall or a supermarket, march in a protest or go to a restaurant but they won’t vote in person.

Staten Island: During the course of my 68 years, I’ve lived all across America. For the last two years, I’ve resided on Staten Island, which I find to be the most irritating borough where the most arrogant and pompous people live. There wouldn’t be enough room on the page for me to list all the reasons why I say this. Which brings me to my next point: In my 68 years, I’ve come to notice that the most respectful, hardworking, unassuming and polite people are the current crop of immigrants, whom Trump has a problem with coming into this country. White privilege will always run rampant in this country. That doesn’t mean I have to accept it.
