A once-happy marriage ended in homicide when a deranged man stabbed his wife to death early Thursday inside their Queens apartment — and dialed 911 two hours later to confess, police said.

Cops arrived at the home on Beach 58th St. in the Rockaways to find 43-year-old Ivette Villar dead in her bed from a stab wound to the chest after her husband called police and admitted to the killing, police said.

Her spouse Emanuel Villar was arrested at 4:40 a.m. after making a second 911 call, telling police he was armed with a knife and wanted to commit suicide by cop, sources said.

Stunned neighbors indicated there were no signs of conflict between the couple, whose adult sons were unaware their mother was lying dead behind a locked bedroom door when police arrived around 3:30 a.m. after

the husband’s initial call, cops said.

“Oh my God!” a weeping neighbor told the Daily News. “How could this happen? It can’t be true. She was a good person and so was he … They had a very long marriage. It’s strange to me. I’m really shocked.”

The 50-year-old murder suspect left his wife’s corpse in the bedroom and fled in a black Nissan Rogue, driving to East New York and parking the vehicle on Snediker Ave., according to cops.

Emanuel Villar’s first 911 call came about two hours after the killing. The suspect gave police his location — parked alongside a fire hydrant — during the second call. Cops managed to take him into custody peacefully.

Charges were pending against the husband, whose motive for the stabbing remained unclear. Police said there was no documented history of domestic violence at the apartment, and neighbors reported the suspect and his wife appeared to get along well.

“I never saw any problems, so it’s shocking to me,” said 24-year-old Crystal Rodriguez, whose boyfriend lives in the building. “I never heard an argument or anything. Every time I come to see them they are fine. Even the other night, they were playing music.”

The churchgoing Villar was remembered by neighbors as a hardworking woman who was well-liked by everyone and, along with her husband, drove for Uber.

Lifelong building resident David Howell III woke up to the sound of police using a battering ram to force their way inside the bedroom where the lifeless victim was discovered.

“I never had any issue with them,” the 25-year-old man said of the couple. “It’s crazy it happened here.”
