A gunman opened fire inside a backroom gambling den in Brooklyn, shooting four men — one fatally, police said Thursday.

The bloody scene unfolded in the back of a thrift shop known in the neighborhood as the “G Spot” on Hegeman Ave. near Osborn St. in Brownsville about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.

Medics rushed one victim, a man in his 30s shot in the chest, to Brookdale University Hospital, where he died, authorities said. Cops were working to determine his identity.

A 44-year-old man blasted in the arm was taken to the same hospital in stable condition.

A 31-year-old male shot in the leg and a 32-year-old man wounded in the shoulder were taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

The killer ran off and has not been caught.

Police were trying to determine if the gunman was a robber or a disgruntled gambler, sources said. All of the victims have criminal records, a second source said.

The man killed had recently been hospitalized with coronavirus symptoms, neighbors said.

“He’s a sweet fellow,” said Michelle Smith, 51, who knew the victim by his street name, Pimp. “He just got released from the hospital for COVID and now shot for nothing.”

The pink storefront, which doesn’t have a sign and is filled floor to ceiling with boxes and trash, was taped off Thursday as cops investigated.

Neighbors said people gather at all hours inside and outside the store, which is across the street from a daycare center and has been a gambling spot for 20 years.

“Man, it’s been gambling going on there for years,” said one resident, who would only identify himself as Johnny. “Sometimes I’m going to work at 7 o’clock and 8 o’clock in the morning and they going in and out, 24 hours.”

A recent shooting on the block could be linked to the location, neighbors believe.

“They’ve never stayed closed for a more than a week,” Johnny said of the store. “(It) should have been locked down a long time ago.”

“I’d burn this building down a long time ago,” he added.

Stephanie Williams, 28, sees people going inside the store in the morning when she takes her children to the daycare center.

“Yeah It’s a spot. They have (gambling) inside and out,” said Williams, 28. “It’s crazy.

The G Spot is at least the second illegal gambling den in Brooklyn to have a shooting homicide in the last year.

On Oct. 12, 2019, four people were found dead inside the Triple A Aces Club on Utica Ave. near Dean St. in Crown Heights after a gunfight broke out. Two men and a woman were also wounded.

That shooting started when a man became enraged over losing a dice game, pulled a gun and started blasting away. After killing three men, the gunman was shot dead by a bouncer protecting himself and the other survivors, officials said.
