Cops seek straphanger for ‘upskirting’ woman, 25
Police on Saturday were asking for help in identifying a man accused of lifting a woman’s skirt to take a cellphone photo of her at a Midtown train stop.
The 25-year-old woman was going up the stairs after exiting a B train at the Seventh Ave./53rd St. station about 2 p.m. Sept. 26 when the man crept up behind her and lifted her skirt to take the shot — and then bolted past his shocked victim to exit the station.
Cops recovered surveillance images of the man (photo), which were released Saturday, describing him as about 5-foot-8, 140 pounds with a thin build, and black hair in a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts, black socks, white sneakers and a black surgical mask. A black book bag was slung over his shoulder.
Anyone with information regarding this incident was urged to NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS.
