A Queens teenager, bound for the Marines, was killed in a double stabbing that left his older brother in critical condition, grieving family members told the Daily News Thursday.

Carlos Roman, 19, and his 24-year-old sibling Justin Perez were attacked by a violent trio moments after they left the Te Quiero Taco Shop on Rockaway Beach Blvd. near Beach 111th St. around 6 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said.

“They didn’t deserve what happened to them,” said stepfather Alex Trivino. “They were visiting my oldest kid in Far Rockaway. She wanted food, and my sons were going to accompany her to get tacos.

“Carlos was going into the Marines. He just finished high school,” said Trivino, 44. “This was a tragic thing to happen.”

Witnesses said the bloodshed was the result of a bad look between the brothers and their assailants.

“It happened over a stupidity, they were looking at each other wrong so one group went over to the other one, stabbed them. ... stupid,” said a man who saw the stabbing and asked to remain anonymous.

Roman was mortally injured when he jumped in to help his brother fend off their attackers, another witness, who asked to remain anonymous told The News.

Perez was knifed in the arm and shoulder and was taken to Jamaica Hospital. His younger brother was rushed to St. John’s Hospital, where he died.

Two people were taken into custody and a knife was found. Neither has been charged yet, cops said.

People who live near the murder scene recognized Roman from the time he lived in the area with another, older sibling.

“He’s such a quiet guy, he’s lived here for a while with his brother. I’ve known him about two years now,” said Liza Rampersad, a neighbor. “I never seen him mingle up with anybody or be in any trouble. He was always with his older brother.”
