Here’s a proper threat assessment

-

NI’ve noticed a trend lately of conservatives patting themselves on the back for their supposed restraint, crowing about how they’re not the violent ones who destroy things when they lose, unlike the evil Marxist Antifa left. I have several points to make in response to this nonsense. One, hate crimes increased dramatically after the election of Donald Trump — and this was after they won. Two, white supremacy has indeed been on the rise for the last four years, as evidenced by Trump’s own FBI, who say it’s our singular greatest domestic threat. Despite all their hand-wringing about Antifa, it was white supremacists, in fact, who started the damage at that AutoZone in Minneapolis. It was white supremacists who killed those two officers in California. Three, and perhaps most depressingly, the Trump supporters most likely to be violent a Trump loss are the same people who don’t think he has lost yet. I’m seeing way too much of this “the election was stolen” garbage; that somehow some states will flip back or SCOTUS will save them.

The conservatives who believe this are, I’m sorry to say, delusional. They were conned. This traitorous, treasonous president was rightfully and legally denied another four years to destroy this country and world, and the fact that they think he deserved those years despite all evidence to the contrary simply shows the depth of the con. On a related note, will someone please get Voicer Patrick J. Lynch a job? He seems to write in almost daily.

Lack of consistency

I’ve been wondering about the people who refuse to wear a mask because it’s an infringement on their rights. Do they use seat belts?

Thankless task

I wouldn’t blame any hospital for refusing new patients once their beds are filled, with no patients lying around in hall space. It’s plain to see that a large part of our society could care less about how hard nurses and doctors, along with our emergency services, work and extend themselves. John Esposito
