A cop stabbed at by a suspect during a domestic violence call earlier this week was saved by his bullet-resistant vest, authorities revealed Thursday.

Police opened fire on Tyrone Owens after he allegedly charged NYPD Officer Khaleef Allicott with the knife inside an apartment on Hawthorne St. near Albany Ave. in Crown Heights Monday night, officials said. Owens was not struck.

The blade failed to penetrate Allicott’s vest but the officer fell back over some furniture and suffered a minor injury, according to court papers.

Cops responded to the apartment about 8 p.m. after a woman inside called 911 complaining Owens was vomiting and urinating in the kitchen in front of her 1-yearold son.

When Allicott and his partner arrived, Owens “did charge at

(Allicott) with a large knife and stabbed at (the cop’s) person with said knife, making contact with (his) bulletproof vest,” a complaint filed by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s office reads.

Cops fired at Owens and missed but the officers managed to chase him into the hallway and bring him

to the ground.

Owens’ knife was recovered in the hallway next to his legs, prosecutors said.

Allicott and his partner were both hospitalized with ringing in their ears, police said.

Owens has been charged with attempted murder of a police officer, assault, menacing, weapon possession and acting in a manner injurious to a child, officials said. A Brooklyn Criminal Court judge ordered him held without bail on Wednesday.

Owens has been arrested four times in the past, including in 2013 when he was charged with making terroristic threats, officials said.

In 2016, Allicott was briefly stripped of his gun and shield following an off-duty incident in which his cousin swiped his service revolver and used it to shoot a mugger holding the cop up at gunpoint on Prospect Place and Sixth Ave. in Park Slope, officials said at the time.

The cousin, Travis Dominique, 25, was arrested on gun possession charges but that arrest was later voided, police sources said.

Owens is the first of two people NYPD cops have opened fire on this week while under threat.

On Wednesday night, cops shot and wounded a car thief after he drove a van toward the officers during a brief chase in Brooklyn.
