Corrective measure

Manhattan: Voicer Joy E. Goldberg: Google the reason as to why the capitalization of the words “Black” and “white” when referring to people in newspapers and other media is handled the way it is. As for “skin in behalf of skin,” the rest of the verses (Job 2:4-6) show that Satan was telling Jehovah that Job wouldn’t prove faithful if he suffered physically. Up until that exchange, Job had suffered material losses at the hands of Satan. Satan now wanted to afflict Job physically to try and prove his contention that Job (and by extension, all of humanity) would only serve and acknowledge Jehovah as the rightful recipient of worship if there was something in it for him. Job endured all that Satan did to him and proved Satan wrong. The question is: Where does humanity stand?

Joseph F. Bisesto, Jr, age 82 and a life-long resident of White Plains, NY passed away peacefully on February 4, 2021 with his loving wife of sixty years, Joan (nee Girolamo) at his side. Joe was a hard-working, funloving family man who adored his two children Joseph J. Bisesto (wife Patricia) of Valhalla, NY and Joy Fleishhacker (husband Jordan) of Colorado Springs, CO and cherished his five grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Miranda, Emily and Jeremy. Joe graduated from White Plains High School, and then worked at the New York Daily News as a printer for over forty years until his retirement. After his retirement, Joe reveled in his favorite job—being a Grandpa. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is survived by his older brother, Charlie of Edmonds, CO, his twin brother, James of Dover, NY, and his brother-in-law, John Girolamo of Ossining, NY. He will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be on Tuesday, 2/9, from 4-8 pm at McMahon, Lyon & Hartnett Funeral Home in White Plains. Interment will be at 11 am on Wednesday, 2/10, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
