Whoopi do! 4 more years on ‘The ‘View’

- BY KATE FELDMAN

Whoopi Goldberg must really be enjoying “The View.”

The 65-year-old Manhattan native has signed on for four more years in the hot seat of the ABC daytime talk show, according to the Hollywood Reporter, taking her through at least season 28.

Goldberg, making her way through her 15th season on “The View,” currently co-hosts alongside Joy Behar, Sara Haines and Sunny Hostin.

Her contract renewal provides a little stability for the long-running morning show which has seemingly been seeped in chaos since former host Meghan McCain’s arrival and recent departure. The conservative seat left vacant by McCain is still open.

The dutiful daughter of the late Sen. John McCain didn’t need a script to bring the drama, constantly feuding on air with her co-stars, particularly Behar.

Upon McCain’s exit at the end of last season, ABC bosses said they were “taking a little time” to fill her open position but promised to continue “the mission of dynamic conversations with diverse points of view.”

Instead, “The View” has used a celebrity guest list of conservative fill-ins, including former Utah congresswoman Mia Love, Condoleezza Rice, S.E. Cupp, Carly Fiorina, Eboni K. Williams, Mary Katharine Ham, Alyssa Farah, Cameran Eubanks and Gretchen Carlson.

McCain’s mother, Cindy, is set to guest host on Oct. 6.

An ABC spokeswoman declined to comment on Goldberg’s new deal when reached by the Daily News.

“The View,” in its 25th season, will welcome Vice President Harris as a guest on Friday. Harris’ appearance on “The View” marks her first in-studio talk show appearance since taking office as the country’s first female vice president.
