ALTERNATE SIDE PARKING RULES ARE IN EFFECT FRIDAY AND SATURDAY

There’s no business like show business! On Sunday, the Tony Awards return live from the Winter Garden Theater at Broadway and 50th St. The ceremony starts at 7 p.m., and will be followed by the Broadway’s Back! concert at 9 p.m. Times Square streets will be extra heavy.

New Yorkers are taking the first weekend of the fall at a sprint. On Sunday, the New Balance Bronx 10 Mile begins at 8 a.m. The race starts on 165th St. and Grand Concourse and heads northward until Mosholu Blvd., where runners will loop between Sedgewick Ave. and Marion Ave. before heading back down Grand Concourse toward the finish line at Yankee Stadium. The Tunnel to Towers run will begin at Richards St. and Bowne St. at 9 a.m. Runners will head north on Hamilton Ave., through the Hugh L. Carey tunnel, then head uptown on West St., make a left at Liberty St. onto the Battery Park esplanade, then make a right at Warren St., ending at West St.

Saturday, the 6th Avenue Autumn Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on 6th Ave. from 42nd St. to 56th St. At noon, the African Heritage Month Parade will begin at 125th St. and Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., where the event will run until 8 p.m. Poseidon’s Parade will also begin at noon at 105th St. and the boardwalk in the Rockaways before concluding at 95th St. Plaza, with potential impacts on Shore Front Pkwy. and Cross Bay Blvd. In Central Park, the Global Citizen Festival will take place on the Great Lawn at 4 p.m., which could cause slowdowns on Central Park West.

On Sunday, the Columbus Circle Autumn Fest will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Broadway between 60th St. and 61st St.

At noon, a Green New Deal for Public Schools Rally will kick off at Bryant Park; watch for impacts to 42nd St. and 6th Ave. A rally in favor of congestion pricing will begin at 12:45 p.m. in front of the governor’s office, on 3rd Ave. at 40th St.

The Falcons will play the Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. Lots of fan complaints, not just about the teams but how long it’s taking to exit the parking lot. A reminder there is a transit option: taking NJ Transit from Secaucus Junction. Get all the details at
