Coroner: Victim in Raider crash burned to death

The woman who died in a fiery crash that authoritie­s blame on ex-Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III driving drunk at racetrack speeds burned to death, the county coroner in Las Vegas said Tuesday.

Tina Tintor, 23, of Las Vegas, “died from thermal injuries due to a motor vehicle collision on Nov. 2,” according to a statement from Clark County Coroner Melanie Rouse released through a county spokesman.

“Other significan­t conditions contributi­ng to her death were inhalation of products of combustion, fractures of the nasal bones, right sided ribs ... left forearm and (chest),” the statement said. “The manner of her death was accidental.”

Ruggs, 22, is accused of causing the predawn crash by driving drunk at speeds up to 156 mph with his girlfriend in his Corvette before it slammed into the rear of Tintor’s Toyota Rav4 on a residentia­l street where the speed limit is 45 mph.

BUECKERS’ SURGERY SUCCESSFUL

UConn said Tuesday that star Paige Bueckers

has undergone successful surgery to repair the left leg fracture she suffered a week ago as well as a meniscus tear in that knee.

The reigning national player of the year broke her left tibia at the knee on Dec. 5 in a victory over Notre Dame.

Bueckers’ recovery is expected to take two months from the date of surgery, the school said.

PISTOL JACKET NETS 117G

Basketball great “Pistol” Pete Maravich’s college letterman jacket sold for nearly $117,000 at an auction over the weekend, more than 50 years after his record-setting career at LSU.

The auction of various Maravich memorabili­a netted more than $160,000, including the earnings from the jacket, according to The Advocate.

The purple jacket, trimmed with gold and featuring a gold “L” on the left breast, was worn by Maravich during his three seasons as a Tiger. It went for $116,924. The rest of the items included his 1978 NBA All-Star game jersey, All-American plaques, and the jacket he wore for his induction into the Hall of Fame.
