- SAM SCHWARTZ

Why is today different from all other days? It is, of course, Good Friday, the Mets are playing their home opener, and it is the first Seder! Commuters will be coming and going all day long.

The Way of the Cross Over the Brooklyn Bridge will start at 10 a.m. at Jay St. and Tillary St, proceed over the bridge, stop at City Hall Park, and end at Cardinal Hayes Pl., off of Pearl St. Anticipate plenty of activity by St. Pat’s and churches throughout the city.

Meet the Mets! The Amazins’ home opener vs. the Diamondbacks will take place at 1 p.m. There’ll be additional games Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.

The post-game traffic will compound holiday getaway gridlock on the LIE, GCP, and Northern Blvd. I’d also expect it to be slow going on the Cross Bronx, GW Bridge, Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, VZ Bridge, the NJ Turnpike from Exit 13 to the GW Bridge, the Goethals Bridge, and the Outerbridge Crossing.

Easter Sunday, it’ll be busy at St. Patrick’s, with Masses taking place between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.; expect the biggest crowds for the Solemn Mass at 10 a.m. Also at 10 a.m., the Easter Parade and Bonnet Festival will kick off on Fifth Ave. and 49th St. The millinery extravaganza will proceed up

Fifth to 57th St.

It’s finally warm enough for street fairs! This weekend, the Broadway Downtown Fair will take place on that thoroughfare between 8th St. and 14th St. on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the UWS Broadway fair will be held from 96th St. to 106th St.

We Will Not Be Bystanders, a march demanding action on climate change, starts Saturday at 1 p.m. at Washington Square Park. There will possibly be impacts to Waverly Pl., W. 4th St., and Fifth Ave.

At MSG, the Red Wings will swoop in to take on the Rangers, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Andrew Schulz will play Radio City Music Hall on Saturday at 7 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Riverside Dr. will be closed between 153rd St. and 155th St. on Fridays, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., through mid-August. South St. will be shuttered between Old Slip and FDR Dr. Southbound Exit 1 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.

There will be no R service in Brooklyn between 36th St. and Bay Ridge-95th St., Friday at 11:45 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m.
