3,674 Vote Nyack’s New Brazilian Steakhouse “Best Dining & Party Pick”

ZAGAT “Consistently Excellent Preparations.”

- BY GAIL GERSON

Only open a few months & already the toast of Nyack, Pichana, which means Top Round Sirloin, which is the mouth-watering specialty of the house, along with the house made Brazilian Sausage, will definitely make your tongue smile. The consistently excellent flavors brought about by their perfectly controlled flames & the care of the “Gaucho Chefs”, was an immediate hit with the Press. This “All you can eat” idea was

born in 2005, by the owner J. P. Miranda’s parents, Amabilis & Aroldo Silva, who now reside in

Brazil. They first opened in N.E. Philadelphia & then J.P took over the business & opened the 2nd Philadelphia location & now this dazzling Rockland eatery. He plans to open a new one yearly.

Step into the timeless essence & unique warmth of Brazil, directed by the talented General Host-Manager Ronald Andreolla & GM Joseph Thomas, who, with their superb staff “love to serve people”. Joseph is a native of Brazil with a wonderful background in cookery. He watches every dish that leaves the bustling kitchen. The owner J. P. Miranda was born in Brazil & his love, passion & experience, is evident in every presentation & private party. This family run spot just keeps getting better. Critics highlighted “You can book your server on a return visit.”, “The extraordinary Cinnamon seasoned Pineapple is a tasty palate cleanser”... “The meats are perfectly seasoned with ONLY salt.”... “The luscious sausage

recipe is created in house”… “Spices are all imported from Brazil”… “Meats are All Prime”.

You can choose from several cuts of Beef, even Filet Mignon. The menu includes Short Ribs, New Zealand Lamb, Chicken wrapped in Bacon, Shrimp, farm raised Salmon, Sausage, Mussels, Tilapia, Eggplant & Grilled Veggies, Roasted Garlic Potatoes,

Fried Bananas, Fried Yucca, Yellow Rice w. Shrimp, Black Beans w. Pork, Mozzarella, Shredded Kale,

Beet & Mushroom Salads & much more. Guests can see the pristine kitchen from the dining room & observe the splendid Charcoal Grilled preparations. The Metro

Press Dining Club raved, after tasting the sumptuous MEATS, SALAD & HOT BARS with daily changing offerings. Desserts such as FLAN, PAPAYA CREAM, TRES

LECHES & CHOCOLATE MOLTEN CAKE, were the perfect ending. The very appealing décor, exciting lighting & nicely spaced tables, set the stage for the authentic

dishes & diverse meats, served by handsome GAUCHOS dressed in authentic costumes.

What is Rodizio? For a fixed price, the ‘gauchos’ bring the selections with knives & a skewer, several times throughout the meal, until you signal “NO”. This exceptional eatery attracts those that desire food prepared & served with ‘Brazilian’ gusto. The emphasis is on freshness of ingredients & originality. What a perfect setting for an impressive shower, an intimate surprise corporate party or an enchanting birthday celebration! GAIL & THE METRO

PRESS BOARD OF DIRECTORS SAY “GO”.
