Cabello is new face of Victoria’s Secret

Camila Cabello has been named the face of Victoria’s Secret’s first bilingual beauty campaign.

The platinum-selling Latin Grammy Award winner is the spokesmode­l for Victoria’s Secret Bombshell fragrance collection. The 25-year-old Cuban-American singer stars in the English and Spanish versions of the commercial campaign, which has her describing what the word bombshell means to her: “Owning your desires, your pleasures and enjoying everything life has to offer ... Being who you are in every way.”

Cabello previously starred in ad campaigns for L’Oréal Paris cosmetics, Skechers footwear and Guess jeans.

BAD BUNNY HOPS INTO HISTORY

Bad Bunny is joining the Marvel Universe.

The Puerto Rican artist will star in Sony’s “El Muerto,” the first live-action Marvel movie to be led by a Latino character. The El Muerto character, which originated in the “Spider-Man” comic books, is a mask-wearing wrestler with super powers.

“El Muerto” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Jan. 12, 2024.

The 28-year-old Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Ocasio, has real-life ties to the wrestling world, having taken part in multiple WWE events, including WrestleMan­ia last year.

PEREZ WAS SUPERHERO TO HIS FANS

Comic book artist George Perez, a superhero in his genre and beloved by his fans, died last week of complicati­ons from pancreatic cancer at age 67.

The South Bronx-born artist began his career before turning 20 and became known globally for his work with DC Comics and Marvel. His first published comic book work came in 1974, on issue No. 25 of “Astonishin­g Tales.”

Known for his detailed and realistic rendering, Pérez made a name for himself as an artist on “New Teen Titans” in 1980. He’s also credited with rebooting Wonder Woman in 1987, as well as for his work on Marvel’s “Avengers.”

A memorial service is scheduled to take place in Orlando, Fla., on May 22, on the last day of MegaCon, one of the nation’s largest comics events.
