Wallace to stay on CNN, despite streaming failure

- BY KATE FELDMAN

Chris Wallace is sticking around at CNN.

The longtime Fox News host jumped ship for CNN+ late last year, only to see the streaming service shutter after just a few months. But he’ll still get to keep his show.

“Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace” will move to CNN on Sunday nights, the news channel’s chief exec Chris Licht announced Wednesday at the

Warner Bros. Discovery upfront presentation to advertisers.

Licht praised Wallace (inset) for his “respectful, authentic and impactful interviews,” which will also be available to watch on HBO Max.

“‘Who’s Talking?’ is a rare show built for streaming that gives newsmakers the opportunity to have candid conversations and an open dialogue about the issues of the day and whatever is on their minds,”

Wallace said in a statement. “I’ve never had more fun developing a program and am looking forward to bringing it to both HBO Max and CNN audiences.”

Scheduled guests include Bob Iger, the former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, former White House press secretary Jen Psaki, Nikole Hannah-Jones, the author of the “1619 Project,” and actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

The program will begin airing in the fall.

CNN+ shut down in midApril, just a few weeks after its launch, as the news network promised to “focus our investment on CNN’s core news-gathering operations and in further building CNN Digital.”

Wallace was one of the highlighted anchors on CNN+, alongside former NBC host Kasie Hunt and CNN staples like Kate Bolduan, Sara Sidner, Brian Stelter and Wolf Blitzer.
