New York Tech is committed to putting students first. We are an engaged and welcoming community, representing a variety of racial, ethnic, religious, gender, gender presentation, geographic, cultural, age, ability, and socioeconomic groups. We support student success in many ways: providing food, health, and wellness services: The Bear Bytes program and food pantry address our students’ food insecurity; the Achieving College Success (ACE) and iAchieve academic success

initiatives offer at-risk students personalized academic support; a financial literacy program helps students understand and navigate the cost of college; and we have special programming and support specifically for our large populations of first-generation college students, veterans, and international students.

Hands-On Work That Matters

Teaching and learning through online, in-person, and hybrid modalities have actually created deeper connections between our students’ work and real-world applications. Coursework in every one of our programs fosters research, innovation, and exploration, challenging students to think beyond their major, take risks, collaborate and communicate, and learn from their successes and mistakes.

Through a partnership with NASA, students in our Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation Center are building unique prototypes based on existing NASA patents.

Architecture and design students work in the state-of-the-art IDC Foundation Digital Fabrication and Robotic Matter Design Labs, equipped with laser cutters, augmented and virtual reality, building information modeling, and robotic systems.

In our nursing simulation and standardized patient labs, allied health students work together to cultivate their assessment, care, and interaction skills with manikins and trained actors posing as patients.

Students showcase their abilities in industry challenges, internships, research, service projects, and in our business and tech incubators.

Highly Ranked and Accredited

New York Tech programs are valued by ranking organizations and accreditors because we deliver on our promise: to provide a rigorous, quality education that gives graduates a noticeable edge in the workplace.

We’re among the top 2% of U.S. colleges for return on investment for low-income students, according to a recent study by Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce.

We consistently appear in U.S. News & World Report’s top tier of best regional universities (North) and rankings for social mobility, diversity, and best schools for veterans.

Our ranking in The Wall Street Journal/ Time Higher Education survey, which focuses on student success, has skyrocketed in the past few years, outpacing other local colleges.

In recognition of our engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community, and successful outcomes, New York Tech has earned College of Distinction status for the

fourth year in a row.

Delivering on our Career Promise

While rankings and distinctions are testament to our strengths, nothing reveals the value of a New York Tech degree better than our alumni. Data shows 94 percent are employed or continuing their education within six months of graduation. Recent grads are working at IBM, NBC, Google, IBM, Morgan Stanley, and Kohn Pedersen Fox, to name just a few industry leaders.

Others are in prestigious graduate programs at Columbia, Georgia Tech, Harvard, and University of Pennsylvania. And amid the pandemic, graduates of our medical school and health professions programs are filling roles where they are needed the most. On another front, two of our alumni are working in top roles in the Biden administration—Dr. Kevin O’Connor as Physician to the President and Karine Jean-Pierre as the new White House Press Secretary.

By pursuing a degree at New York Tech, you’ll discover and follow your passion, balance your education with other priorities, build a professional network, graduate career-ready, and receive excellent returns on your investment.
