Bag lady sought for racist bashing in Queens

- BY THOMAS TRACY

Watch out, Queens — this bag lady’s a bruiser.

A belligerent blond carrying a super-sized handbag walloped a 26-year-old woman in Jamaica during a hate-filled clash that began on a Q56 bus, police said Friday.

The victim told police that she was riding the bus through Jamaica last Saturday when she got into an argument with the suspect.

She got off the bus at 147th Place and Jamaica Ave. at 9:15 a.m. but the blond followed her, then hit her with her bag, bruising her.

The stranger screamed a litany of anti-Hispanic slurs at the woman before running off, cops were told.

EMS rushed the victim to Jamaica Hospital, where she was treated and released.

It was not immediately disclosed what the woman said to her victim or what sparked the altercation.

The incident was one of two anti-Hispanic attacks the NYPD investigated in Queens that day, police said.

On Saturday night in Jackson Heights, a 51-year-old man was bashed with a pipe and robbed by an unhinged assailant who screamed “I hate all Spanish! I’m going to kill you!” as he brought his weapon down on his victim’s head, cops said.

The raging suspect ran off with the victim’s wallet and $10. No arrests have been made.

The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force was looking into both cases.

Police on Friday released surveillance images of the blonde attacker and asked anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.

The woman is described as white, between 30 and 40 years old, with long blonde hair and a medium build. She was last seen wearing a purple vest, a black netted shirt, black leggings, black sandals and sunglasses.
