In spite of its power, Israel is losing the war
Irbid, Jordan: I am pained by what is happening in Gaza. Killing, destruction, displacement and genocide for every Palestinian, without distinction between Muslim and Christian, mosque or church. Employees of international organizations have not been spared. The excuse is the elimination of Hamas. The capabilities of the Gaza resistance must be respected. It built itself out of nowhere in a genius and impenetrable way, and the formations were organized to remain secret so that one of them did not know anything about the other. What insult has befallen Israel after three months of war? It captured only one of Yahya Sinwar’s shoes. Hamas has won militarily and in the media, as no Israeli goal announced by Benjamin Netanyahu has been achieved. But Israel has awakened the people of its allies that their rulers support Israel for personal purposes, not the interests of those countries. The war has revealed the duplicity of the great powers in dealing with identical things in two different countries. Russia was condemned for targeting sites that caused the deaths of Ukrainian citizens, but America did not find any evidence that Israel deliberately killed civilians — despite the killing of more than 25,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
Television interviews show that much of Israeli society does not mind coexistence with the Palestinian people and that the two-state solution is the right choice. The main reason for the aggravation of the crisis is religious sanctities, most importantly the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and solutions can be found by returning it to the historical legitimacy of the Hashemite family and its dean, King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein of Jordan.
We hope that peace and love will come to the world, that violence will stop everywhere, and that we will see Palestine as a liberated state with its own entity and independent borders.
