You can buy ‘Sopranos’ final scene booth

- BY JOSEPH WILKINSON

The restaurant booth from the final scene of “The Sopranos” is up for auction on eBay.

Holsten's ice cream shop and restaurant in Bloomfield, N.J. has stopped believing it can restore the decades-old booth and put it up for sale to the highest bidder.

“The integrity of the booths are now compromised,” the restaurant owners wrote in an Instagram post late Wednesday night. “They have been repaired many times, and this furniture is over 60 years old. Obviously, we do not want to do this, however, it has come to a point where they are structurally not safe anymore as a whole and we need to think about the safety of our patrons first.”

Bids on the eBay auction had already topped $30,000 as of Thursday morning — well more than an order of onion rings for the table. The auction is scheduled to end just after 10 p.m. on March 4.

Holsten's famously hosted the Soprano family for their final onscreen meal in the series finale, “Made in America.” In the ensuing years, the restaurant became a must-see for “Sopranos” fans, with many taking pictures in the same booth where Tony, Carmela and A.J. sat waiting for Meadow to finally park her car.

When James Gandolfini died in 2013, a makeshift memorial was built in the booth at Holsten's.

But the old school restaurant is “polishing up the place” after decades of wear and tear and decided to sell the booth.

“The time has come,” the Instagram post reads. “All good things sometimes need an upgrade. The famous Sopranos booth is getting a much-needed facelift. We are auctioning off the well endeared booth on eBay starting today. Place your bid on this once in a lifetime chance to personally own ‘the booth.'”
