Getting Out Stuff to Do In & Around NYC

-

FLOWER POWER

From blooming blossoms to baseball’s return, Easter celebrations, and Earth Day festivals, the city is springing forward with an abundance of seasonal offerings. Head to Central Park or the Brooklyn Botanic Garden to see the breathtaking beauty of cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Celebrate Earth Day by participating in park cleanups, tree plantings, and eco-friendly workshops, joining a hike or bike group, or attending the Earth Day Festival in Union Square to learn more about sustainability while sampling food and getting information on eco-friendly products. Catch a baseball game at Yankee Stadium or Citi Field to cheer on the home teams as they start their seasons. Join or watch the annual April Fool’s Parade, which pokes fun at the many fools from the past year.

On the last Friday of every month, we share some of our favorite free or lowcost events: parades, concerts, outdoor movies, fairs, markets, and more. Always check event sites to confirm dates, times, and details.

Have a community event you’d like us to include? Scan the QR code below to submit your event, or call 212-210-2004 to advertise in our next installment on Friday, April 26.*
