An emaciated, abused dog soaked in urine was saved from a Queens apartment where her cruel owner kept her tied up with a 6-inch chain, prosecutors said Tuesday.

Police were called to Evadne Harrington’s Far Rockaway apartment on Seagirt Blvd. on Dec. 21 for a request for medical aid, according to the Queens district attorney’s office.

When cops arrived, they discovered mixed-breed dog Puddin in a corner with a chain of about 6 inches and a metal device secured to her neck and face by a padlock.

The poor pooch’s filthy coat was soaked in urine, and there was no water or food near her inhumane quarters. There was also no dog food in the apartment.

Cops freed Puddin from the chain and used bolt cutters to remove the padlocked collar and muzzle, then discovered the dog had a scar and scabbing underneath the device.

Once free, the starving dog immediately ran to a bathroom in the apartment and drank from the toilet.

Harrington, 41, allowed cops to take Puddin in for veterinary care, where she was treated for skin infections, hair loss and multiple injuries, prosecutors said.

The dog is in the care of the ASPCA and has been recovering since she was discovered. She is now ready to be adopted or fostered.

Harrington was arraigned on animal abuse charges Tuesday.

If convicted, she could face up to a year behind bars.

“The abuse of voiceless, defenseless creatures is unconscionable,” Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said in a statement. “Puddin thankfully was rescued from her miserable circumstances. We look forward to holding her abuser accountable.”
