Country music star Morgan Wallen has been arrested on felony charges for allegedly throwing a chair from the rooftop of a bar in Nashville, authorities said early Monday morning.

The incident unfolded late Sunday night at Chief’s, a popular bar in Nashville’s busy downtown neighborhood owned by fellow country music star Eric Church.

Wallen, 30, is accused of hurling the chair from the sixth floor of the bar and live music venue just before 11 p.m., News Channel 5 Nashville reported citing the arrest report.

Two Metro Nashville police officers reportedly saw the chair hitting the ground just a few feet from where they were standing outside the bar.

Bar employees then told the officers the chart-topping artist was responsible for the action. Security camera footage reportedly showed Wallen “lunging and throwing an object over the roof,” according to the affidavit.

After doing so, the singer-songwriter reportedly laughed, witnesses told police, according to local television station WKRN.

The multi-award-winning artist was arrested just after midnight and charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.

He was released around 3:30 a.m. after posting a $15,520 bond, Billboard reported.

Wallen first appeared on the music scene in 2014, competing in the sixth season of NBC’s “The Voice.” He was eliminated from the show but exploded in popularity after the release of his debut album, “Stand Alone,” in 2015.

In 2023, his third album, “One Thing at a Time,” remained atop the all-genre Billboard 200 chart for 18 nonconsecutive weeks, tying Garth Brooks’ “Ropin’ the Wind” for the country album with the most weeks at No. 1.

He has won an Academy of Country Music Award for Best New Artist in 2020 and earned 11 Billboard Music Awards including Top Male Artist in 2023.

Wallen will be back in Nashville on May 2 and 3 for two shows at the Nissan Stadium as part of his massively successful One Night at a Time world tour.

His next court date is scheduled for May 3.
