Boutique law firm recognized for innovative, creative solutions.

-

At its core, the lawyers at Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer LLP are dedicated to providing clients with the highest quality legal services possible, according to Managing Partner Steven J. Shore. “We offer out-of–the-box thinking and a level of personal attention and responsiveness that most law firms do not and cannot,” Shore notes. “Our partners are hands-on from the beginning to the end of every commercial litigation case and real estate transaction in which we are involved.”

What the firm lacks in size – 27 attorneys, with just 12 partners—it makes up for in experience. Virtually all of its partners practiced for years prior to joining Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer, either at large, prominent global law firms or at governmental agencies. “We are privileged to represent many clients who first met us when we were adverse to them and who appreciated our expertise,” says Senior Partner Steven R. Ganfer.

Partner Matthew J. Leeds adds, “our attorneys, both litigators and transactional, possess a depth of experience as well as expertise in specialty niches in which the larger firms are unlikely to invest.” Leeds notes that many of the firm’s partners have chaired major bar association groups.

Innovative Litigation Practice

Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer dominates in commercial litigation and arbitration. Partner Mark C. Zauderer, a prominent trial and appellate attorney who has also headed blueribbon panels and judicial task forces, is routinely retained on “bet the company” litigations. He is currently representing a major party in connection with opioid litigations, is involved in litigating a multibillion dollar mortgage-backed securities case, and is representing plaintiffs in a multibillion dollar bond default litigation. Zauderer notes that “a boutique firm that focuses on trials and appeals can often outmatch other firms in litigation.”

In an epic legal battle where the adversary—powerhouse New York hoteliers—used delay tactics to attempt to squeeze the firm’s client to either drop the case or settle quickly, Partner Craig S. Kesch notes that “it was important to be tenacious and detail oriented, which ultimately convinced the court of the hoteliers’ dilatory tactics, and resulted in the firm’s client obtaining a complete victory on liability that was upheld on appeal.”

Real Estate Transaction Prowess

Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer also excels in delivering pragmatic yet sophisticated results in a variety of real estate transactions, including complicated construction financings, commercial and mixed-use development and unsold shares matters, and in sales and leases.

Partner Margery N. Weinstein notes that “our skill and experience in transactional matters helps us to be a calming force during highly stressful scenarios, including those involving condominium and cooperative apartment boards and their unit owners and shareholders.”

“Because of our specialized experiences and our lower overhead, we offer our clients hourly rates that are significantly less than those of many of our peers,” says Partner Sandra L. Jacobus. “Ganfer Shore Leeds & Zauderer has hit the sweet spot in our ability to focus on our clients,” explains Shore. “We are committed to efficiently, effectively, and personally attending to clients’ needs.”
