Bibi, Bam and the Bullies: How To Stop Iran’s Nukes

THE ISSUE: Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations denouncing Iran’s nuclear program.

-

l Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu knows Israel would be the first target of a nuclear-weaponized Iran, which it has stated so publicly on many occasions (“Bibi’s Blunt Warning,” Benny Avni, PostOpinion, Oct. 2).

Unlike our own president, who is remarkably naive, Netanyahu knows you cannot negotiate with bullies, on the playground or in international affairs.

President Obama reminds us of a meek Neville Chamberlain, who believed that if you are really nice to tyrants and let them have what they want, they will leave you alone. It wasn’t true 70 years ago and isn’t now. Apparently, they skipped over a lesson in world history at Columbia.

l It seems Israel will stand alone in its fight for survival.

Netanyahu’s plea to the world at the United Nations to stop Iran from completing its nuclearweapons project fell on deaf ears. Consider that while Netanyahu was telling the world to “distrust, dis mantle and verify” about Iran, Obama and Rouhani were exchanging love letters.

Obama has proven incompetent in world affairs and extremely uncomfortable with armed conflicts. The mullahs know this and are vying for time in order to complete the enrichment process. Elio Valenti

l It’s good to see that there is one leader who actually has the guts to confront evil in Iran, unlike our fraud of a president.

Israel warned the world that Iran can never get nukes, and it will act alone if need be. If everybody thinks Netanyahu’s bluffing, just ask Iraq.

l The Western world and Israel can be very proud of Netanyahu’s ability to articulate the truth about Iran. Iran is not like the United States, Russia and China, which are primarily secular nations. It is a Muslim, Shiite nation that wants to propagate its religion and dominate the world.

The United States has refused to accept the reality of this nation pursuing its goals, which will lead to the destruction of Earth.

Stopping Iran is not easy; it is a hard choice, and no one wants to face the possibility of a third world war.

But facing extinction should make one realize that it is imperative to stop the nuclear race that Iran is running. Toby Willig
