Yogi Ferrell scored 27 points, hitting seven 3pointers in eight tries, to lead unranked Indiana to a 6352 upset of No. 10 Michigan on Sunday.

Indiana (148, 45 Big Ten) had lost three of four but led most of the way in improving to 122 at Assembly Hall. Noah Vonleh added 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Hoosiers, who shot 54 percent to the Wolverines’ 40 percent.

Michigan (165, 81) produced a seasonlow point total as a 10game winning streak came to an end. Derrick Walton Jr. scored 13 points and Caris LeVert had 12. They were the only Wolverines in double figures, as leading scorer Nik Stauskas was held to six points.

Ferrell, a point guard, was the primary defender on Michigan’s small forward, and Stauskas missed 5 of 6 attempts, failing for the third time this season to score in double figures.

Cincinnati 50, South Florida 45

In Cincinnati, Sean Kilpatrick overcame an offtarget performanc­e by scoring 10 of his 18 points in the closing minutes, rallying No. 13 Cincinnati over South Florida (1111, 27 American Athletic), its 14th straight victory. The Bearcats (212, 100) extended their best start since the 200102 season.

Oregon State 71, UCLA 67

In Corvallis, Ore., freshman Hallice Cooke scored 14 of his seasonhigh 20 points in the second half and scored the goahead basket with 6:12 to play as Oregon State defeated UCLA.

Eric Moreland finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Angus Brandt added 13 points for the Beavers (138, 54 Pac12).

Kyle Anderson led the Bruins (175, 63) with 18 points and nine rebounds.

Virginia 48, Pittsburgh 45

In Pittsburgh, Malcolm Brogdon made a lastsecond 3pointer to give Virginia a victory against No. 18 Pitt (184, 63 ACC).

Brogdon finished with 16 points for Virginia (175, 81), which maintained sole possession of second place in the ACC. The Cavaliers have won five consecutiv­e games.

Penn State 79, Purdue 68

In State College, Pa., D.J. Newbill, Tim Frazier and Brandon Taylor combined for 52 points as Penn State defeated Purdue for its third straight victory. The Nittany Lions (1210, 36 Big Ten) got 19 points from Newbill, 18 from Frazier and 15 from Taylor. Purdue (139, 36) has lost four straight.

Milwaukee 86, Oakland 64

In Milwaukee, Oakland’s Travis Bader set the NCAA Division I record for the most career 3pointers against UWMilwauke­e, surpassing the previous mark of 457 set by Duke’s J.J. Redick.

Bader, who entered the game two behind Redick, missed his first 3point attempt but made his next four. He broke the record with a shot from the right corner with 6:17 left in the first half.

Bowling Green 74, Buffalo 68

In Bowling Green, Ohio, Spencer Parker scored 23 points as Bowling Green (1011, 44 MidAmerica­n Conference) rallied to beat Buffalo(117, 53).
