-

Mayor de Blasio and his wife paid $ 44,130 in federal, state and city income come taxes last year on an income of $ 217,656, according to filings provided by City Hall Wednesday.

While Hizzoner’s salary as mayor is $ 225,000, pension contributions and other adjustments lowered it. De Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray ( left), also took in $ 56,200 by renting a property near their Park Slope home and $ 9,950 for two months’ rent at their house itself, which they vacated last year for Gracie Mansion.

Both properties provided tax savings thanks to depreciation and related expenses. As a result, the first couple’s tax rate was 20.3 percent.

In 2013, the de Blasios paid an even lower rate of 15.5 percent on his then salary as public advocate, of $ 165,000.

Meanwhile, de Blasio called for more taxes on “millionaires” in a speech at the University of Nebraska Wednesday night.

“Whenever the wealthy aren’t paying their fair share of taxes there are consequences. It means we’re shortchanging something else,” he said. “We have an opportunity here to change the trajectory of this.”

He was met by a small group of protesters who decried his talk of taxes.

“It’s income redistribution,” said Nebraskan, Henry Burke. “He’s a communist. Yoav Gonen, Michael Gartland
