Holder back at law firm
WASHINGTON — Eric Holder is returning to private law practice, rejoining the firm where he worked before becoming US attorney general.
Covington & Burling announced Monday that Holder ( pictured), who left the Justice Department in April after more than six years as attorney general, would be rejoining the firm as a partner.
Holder will be based in Washington, DC, and focus on complex investigations and litigation.
He worked at the firm from2001 until 2009, when he became attorney general. Several other former highranking Justice Department officials are also partners at Covington.
Holder has also served as a judge, a prosecutor and as a US attorney for Washington, DC.
