Bull fete’s running start

PAMPLONA, Spain — Thousands of revelers doused each other with wine Monday to celebrate the start of the famed San Fermin running of the bulls.

The nineday festival started with the launching of a fireworks rocket — known as the “Chupinazo” — as whiteclad partygoers sprayed each other with wine and waved red neckerchiefs.
