- Post wire reports

Florida State freshman quarterback De’Andre Johnson was dismissed from the program by head coach Jimbo Fisher on Monday after hewas charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching a woman at a Tallahassee, Fla., bar last week.

Johnson turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest andwas released from jail Thursday after posting a $ 500 bond. The charges were issued by Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs after he reportedly viewed video footage of the incident.

In the video, Johnson attempts to get to the bar next to the woman. After a brief exchange of words that quickly turned physical, the woman throws a punch and misses Johnson. Johnson immediately retaliates and connects with a punch to the woman’s face. Johnson then exits the picture as the woman holds her hand to her nose as blood drips on the bar.
