Slice of night life on First — hold the guilt

A slice of pizza often follows a late night of drinking, but a new spot will offer both while trying to keep the guilt to a minimum.

David Jaffee and Ross Rachlin’s Pure Hospitality Group is launching Visana & Pisa Pizza — including a “secret” backofthehouse cocktail lounge — on Sept. 9.

The counterstyle, 400 squarefoot pizza parlor, at 321 First Ave. at 18th Street, will stay open until 4 a.m. and also have a walkup takeout window for ordering organic and glutenfree items along with fresh juices.

At the same time, craft cocktails will be served at Visana, accessed via a hidden door in the back of the pizzeria. The 1,100 squarefoot lounge takes its name from “vita” and “sana,” or “healthy life” in Italian, and will boast local and organic juices and cocktails.

The lounge, designed with nontoxic materials, also has filtered water, purified air, an essential oil diffuser and RGB wallpaper, which changes its imagery and lighting to the beat of the music.

Roman and Alex Volland, of Barrio 47, craved simple sushi in their own Chelsea/Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood so much that they decided to launch their own grabandgo concept. Sushi Star opens Monday, at 426 Ninth Ave. between 35th and 36th streets.

The 358 squarefoot eatery — 600 square feet if you count the kitchen — seats seven people at the counter. It offers sake in house and also delivers, including beer to go.

WE HEAR … celeb chef Marc Murphy is launching his first eatery outside New York — a Mediterranean grill at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa — in November. Murphy is behind hot spots Ditch Plains, Landmarc and Kingside.

Puerto Rico Meets NYC, a new food festival, will run from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4. Eight chefs specializing in “cocina criolla” — Puerto Rican cuisine — will make a series of dinners with New York’s finest, including Jose Santaella of Santaella and Eric Ripert of Le Bernardin. Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite.
