Bigwigs seek tix scalp nix

-

Thou shalt not scalp free tickets to see the pope in Central Park, officials declared Sunday.

The ducats — which the city began distributing for free last week after holding a lottery — are now going for up to $3,000 a pair on sites like Craigslist, The Post reported this weekend.

One day after the sales were revealed, Timothy Cardinal Dolan, Sen. Charles Schumer, Assemblyman Michael Cusick and state Sen. Dan Squadron demanded an end to the unholy practice.

“Tickets for events with Pope Francis are distributed free for a reason — to enable as many New Yorkers as possible, including those of modest means, to be able to participate in the Holy Father’s visit to New York,” said Dolan.

Cusick and Squadron said the state Legislature should pass a longpending bill they sponsored that would prohibit reselling tickets above face value for charity events.

“I call on my colleagues to join me in saying enough is enough,” said Squadron.
