CFDA bright spot

Monday night’s Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards brought out some of the shiniest superstars in the fashion, modeling and acting worlds, but many chose surprisingly somber black looks. Chic? Yes. Festive? Less so. Where was all the glamour? Doing her part to buck the trend at the Hammerstein Ballroom was Australian Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik, stunning in a plunging marigold gown complete with sexy cutouts.

Hopefully, her Helen of Troy-inspired ensemble won’t cause another altercation between Tyson Beckford and DJ Ruckus anytime soon.

Also dazzling was an expectant Olivia Wilde, whose emerald-green cut-out Rosie Assoulin dress hugged her in all the right places.

Accessorizing with matching jewels and eye shadow, the glowing actress told The Post, “I feel really glamorous and really comfortable right now, which is what this night is all about. Glamour and celebrating really interesting designers.”

Alicia Silverstone channeled major modern-day Cher Horowitz vibes in her sleeveless, slinky red Christian Siriano gown complete with an up-to-there slit. It may not have been an Alaia, but it was a perfectly updated equivalent.

Supermodel Karlie Kloss opted for whimsy in her white, ruffled, rainbow-crystal Rosie Assoulin dress and pink Swarovski Stuart Weitzman pumps.

“Because this event kicks off summer, I knew that I’d have a little bit of a tan, so I wanted to wear something white and crisp and optimistic.” Mission accomplished.

Beyoncé won the event’s coveted Fashion Icon Award, while designer Marc Jacobs was named Women’s Wear Designer of the Year.
