Soros scion’s Hamps hot spot

-

THE playboy lifestyle of George Soros’ son has made for some strange social situations in the Hamptons this summer.

In one clash of cultures, President Obama ended up hanging out with a New York City club kid whom 30-year-old Alex Soros has tasked with wrangling beautiful models to spend time at his $85 million summer retreat.

The bizarre situation was made possible because Alex’s billionaire father, a global power broker, is a prolific Democratic donor.

We’re told that Alex, a philanthropist and scion to the $24.9 billion Soros fortune, has been shuttling models, including Rachel Fox, Allie Fosheim and Lameka Fox, and fashion darlings, such as Timo Weiland and Maxwell Osborne, to and from his sprawling rental, Villa Maria — the gorgeous compound belonging to late shoe impresario Vince Camuto and his widow, Louise. Also enjoying Alex’s more-than-generous hospitality have been new Knicks star Joakim Noah and music mogul Scooter Braun.

We’re also told that longtime pal and New York City club fixture Adam Spoont — a promoter for hot spots the Monarch Room and the Gilded Lily — has been put in charge of model-recruitment for the summer, and did such a good job that he landed an audience with the president. Spoont got an invite to a Democratic fund-raiser at Alex’s city apartment, and shook hands with Obama.

When Alex isn’t eating lobster and sipping rosé on a pool floatie, he is a social-justice and humanrights campaigner with his own foundation, which, to be fair, does great work for the environment and with organizations such as Global Witness.

A source close to Alex insists that the 1-percenter-plus-models slumber parties are actually lowkey affairs. “He’s rented Camuto’s house before and he has friends out for the weekend. Some are celebrities. Some are models,” said the source.

The 22,000-square-foot 1920s mansion that Alex and his friends have been enjoying is currently for sale. It boasts 11 bedrooms, “including a six-room, beautifully appointed master suite,” and sits on 17 breathtaking waterfront acres.
