TLC bans thief hack

- Danielle Furfaro

A cabby who stole a drunk passenger’s cellphone and credit card and then injured her as he was speeding away has been taken off the road.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission yanked Mohammed Reza’s hack license this week and fined him $3,350 — the maximum.

The victim told police she got into Reza’s cab to head home after attending a dinner party in July 2015.

When they got to her building in Stuyvesant Town, her credit card wouldn’t work. She told Reza it was valid and tried to call her husband for help.

But he grabbed the phone and followed her to the lobby door.

The woman — who’d had six glasses of wine and a vodka-andcranberry — realized that she left her card in the cab and tried to go back for it. But Reza sped off as she held onto the side of the car.

She fell to the ground and suffered minor injuries.

The driver then used her supposedly invalid card to make several purchases.

The TLC ruled that even though she’d been drunk, the cabby was to blame.
