Coke dad, son guilty

-

A Brooklyn jury took less than three hours to convict Gregorio and Angelo Gigliotti Friday of smuggling 55 kilograms of cocaine into the country by hiding it in yucca boxes and using their Queens pizzeria as a front.

Angelo Gigliotti, 36, shook his head in disbelief as a jury forewoman read “guilty” to several counts against him and dad Gregorio in Brooklyn federal court.

Angelo was acquitted of two gun charges that would have added five years to his sentence.

Judge Raymond Dearie told Angelo he “dodged two pretty serious bullets” before remanding him.

Angelo faces a minimum of 20 years behind bars, while Gregorio, 60, faces at least 15 years.

Prosecutors Margaret Gandy and Keith Edelman proved that in 2014, both men smuggled two shipments containing more than $1 million worth of cocaine inside the flaps of boxes of yucca from Costa Rica to a family-run produce warehouse in The Bronx.

The Gigliottis also used their restaurant Cucino a Modo Mio in Corona to store drug proceeds, weapons, and documents.
