Berated subway ‘pole’ cat busted
The creep who was eviscerated in a videotaped rant by a fellow subway rider for pleasuring himself on a crowded train has been arrested for that incident and a similar act, authorities said Wednesday.
Kevin Cuffe, 23, of The Bronx, was busted last week on public-lewdness charges for allegedly masturbating on board trains on Aug. 15 and in December 2015.
In both incidents, Cuffe was spotted on a No. 2 train with a bag covering his lap as he touched himself, according to a criminal complaint.
Cuffe last Thursday was charged with two counts of public lewdness and was released on his own recognizance at his Manhattan Criminal Court arraignment.
His shameless self-love struck a deep nerve with fellow straphanger Deanna Carter, whose tirade against the young man was videotaped and has garnered more than 3.3 million views.
“What are you doing? You’re over here rubbing your d-ck. What the f--k are you doing?” Carter fumed in the video she posted to Facebook a day after the Aug. 15 incident.
“Do it again and I’ma get up out this chair and I’ma bust your f--king ass on this train. We understand each other? Do we f--king understand each other?” Carter shouts in the video, targeting the startled and terrifiedlooking man, whom she shamed right off the Bronx-bound train.
Carter continued her rant, saying, “I don’t give a f--k if this ain’t your stop. You get off this train with that freaky sh-t. Get up!”
Another straphanger saw the video and recognized Cuffe from a similar incident on Dec. 16, 2015, and alerted police.
The witness said she saw Cuffe pulling the same tricks, checking out women on the train while allegedly touching his penis, using a bag to conceal his audacious, lurid act.
Cops used the second witness’ account to arrest him and charge him with the two misdemeanor counts.
“When I looked very closely, I said that’s the same guy I’ve seen many months ago over the holi- day season,” Nicole De’Chabert, who captured Cuffe on video allegedly touching himself, told WPIX/Channel 11.
Cuffe has two prior arrests, both of which are sealed, police said.
