It’s Time For Some Honesty: Calling a Ransom a Ransom
When Iran claimed they wouldn’t build nuclear weapons and would never attack Israel, President Obama assured us we could believe what they said then (“O’s Shady Cash,” Seth Lipsky, PostOpinion, Aug. 25).
However, when Iran claimed a pallet of cash was a ransom for hostages, and provided pictures of it, Obama tells us you can’t believe what Iran says. Bill Nuzzo Kissimmee, Fla.

Wasn’t the contract broken when our friend, the shah, was overthrown and replaced by a hostile theocracy? What’s a broken contract worth?
The Iranians trashed our embassy and held our people prisoner for over a year and never paid a cent in compensation. Now who owes who? Leno Sternick Plainview
