Hire more illegals: Blas

Mayor de Blasio thanked a Brooklyn man Thursday for hiring illegal immigrants and derided the nation’s immigration policies as “fiction.”

The mayor told the man, who had called into de Blasio’s show on WNYC radio, that “the entire government looks the other way all the time” when it comes to undocumented immigrants.

The supermarket owner had said he was worried his employees were not legal.

“If someone is willing to work hard for you, you’re going to hire that person,” de Blasio responded.
