Hollywood power couple Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber are calling it quits after 11 years together.

“Over the past few months, we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple,” Schreiber and Watts said in a joint statement to People magazine.

“It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship.”

A source told The Post the split is amicable — and the couple won’t be involving lawyers.

“They split because she wants to travel the world making movies and attending film festivals and red carpets, but he is a New Yorker and just wants to settle with their kids,” the source said.

“Both are great parents and will do what is best for their kids. They get on so well that friends are saying they wouldn’t be surprised if they got back together.”

The couple — he’s 48 and she’s 47 — never wed but share two children, Alexander Pete Schreiber, 8, and Samuel Kai Schreiber, 7.

They first fell for each other during the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual costume ball in 2005.

“We spoke on the phone for several weeks and e-mailed,” Watts told More magazine in 2011.

“And then I made up some excuse to come to New York and the rest is history.”

Schreiber told Vanity Fair they shared their first date outside Magnolia Bakery in the West Village, where they got to know each other while nibbling on cupcakes.

Watz and Schreiber have recently been promoting the new film they co-star in, “The Bleeder,” a boxing drama about heavyweight champion Chuck Wepner.

?? ?? THAT’S A WRAP: Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, the parents of two kids, are making their split so amicable that no lawyers will be involved, a source said.
