Gaborik out of World Cup

Kings forward Marian Gaborik is leaving the World Cup of Hockey and will be out for eight weeks because of a foot injury. Team Europe general manager Miroslav Satan said Gaborik was injured during Sunday’s 3-2 overtime win over Sweden in the semifinals. The Bruins have signed forward Brad Marchand to an eight-year, $49 million contract extension, according to the team.
