Clinton’s Latest Attack: Targeting Trump’s Taxes
Surely my head wasn’t the only one exploding when Hillary Clinton had the audacity to speculate about why Donald Trump hasn’t yet released his tax returns (“Don, Not Out,” Sept. 27).
This from the woman who collected six-figure speaking fees from Wall Street and hundreds of millions in donations to her foundation from wealthy contributors and foreign governments.
But no worries, America. There can’t possibly be a quid pro quo, because the mainstream media would’ve been on top of that, right? Cathy Vasilakos Brooklyn
If people are bent out of shape because Donald legally pays little or no taxes, they should rant and rave at Congress, which makes the tax laws.
I believe Hillary as a senator and President Bill Clinton had their chances to address corporate-tax loopholes. Instead, they were too busy being scoundrels during their respective terms in office, collecting big bucks and granting pardons to the likes of financial crook Marc Rich. During the debate, Hillary speculated that Trump doesn’t pay income tax. Trump said that was being smart.
Most people take advantage of every legal deduction they can. The loopholes for corporations, however, are outrageous.
