All the resident’s men
A MODERN, three-bedroom penthouse once home to legendary reporter and author Carl Bernstein is on the market as a $22,000-a-month rental. The apartment, located at 145 Spring St., a seven-unit building at Wooster Street, measures an even 3,000 square feet. Bernstein moved out in January 2015. Lore has it that that Bernstein had installed a “bulletproof door,” says the listing broker. Bernstein, along with Bob
Woodward, became a household name for breaking the Watergate scandal. He’s also co-author of “All The President’s Men.” Bernstein is the subject of a novel, “Heartburn,” by his ex-wife, the late Nora Ephron. Brokers are Citi Habitats’ Randy Smith and Lita Amelia.
