Toronto wins, will face NYCFC

Sebastian Giovinco had a goal and two assists and Toronto FC beat the Philadelphia Union at home on Wednesday for the first MLS playoff victory in franchise history. Toronto will host New York City FC on Sunday in Game 1 of the two-leg Eastern Conference semifinal. In the other MLS knockout game, Los Angeles Galaxy beat Real Salt Lake 3-1 in Carson, Calif.
