Terrorism at Ohio State: Time for a New Strategy
Such a tragic incident involving a Muslim who attacked the people who allowed him into their country (“Terror on Campus,” Nov. 29).
The Post reporting mentions that Abdul Razak Ali Artan was a student. How does an immigrant carry out an evil plan to injure or kill those who have welcomed him into their bastion of learning?
It’s amazing how ingrates such as him often bite the very hand that feeds them. Paul Alexander Staten Island
It seems like Artan wasn’t assimilated into the American way of life.
I’ve worked a lot of jobs here in Ohio, and as a believer in the revelations of the Apostle Paul, I follow the doctrines of “honest work with your hands.” I believe that oldfashioned work ethic is good.
The Muslims I regularly work with aren’t a danger to me. By having a steady job, they’ve developed a work ethic and a reverence for life and property.
We shouldn’t bestow collective guilt on all So- malis or all Muslims. Charles Bradford Columbus, Ohio
Sen. Tim Kaine condemned the “senseless act of gun violence” at Ohio State.
In reality, the only gun violence was the timely response of a police officer who shot the terrorist before he could run over or stab more innocent people.
A talk-show host I watched implied that Artan committed this violence because he was racially and religiously discriminated against.
Will the left please back off from these tired, worn lines? Fred Lash Denville, NJ
It’s time for this country to take drastic measures and crack down on those whose ultimate goal is to kill Americans.
It’s also time for the Muslim community in the United States to end its rhetoric about Islamaphobia.
Can’t they see the destruction taking place? They need to stand up and root out extremists in their communities so that these kind of attacks finally stop.
